Well, with the exclusion of Star Trek, what do you like to watch on TV, or in the theater?

Okay, I'll play....

I'm very, very excited that the new TV season is here because there are so many shows I put into the "love" category..

House
Bones
Pushing Daisys (oh my! I'm so excited...I love this show enough to say it's a favored child)
Eliah Stone (another favored child)
Life (yet another...I swear, they are not all favored)
Ugly Betty

I'm also very excited about J.J. Abrams' new series FRINGE....

House is amazing, and I must say the actor does such an outstanding job. that is one show that I would definitely love to have all episodes on DVD.

Football.

60 Minutes.

PBS kids stuff.

Nova, Nature, stuff like that.

The rest is pretty much dvds of TV shows from Netflix, like Extras or some Masterpiece Theaters, or All Creatures Great and Small.

We had gone 3 years with no cable TV, but we finally cracked this spring. It's no fun watching football when you can't see the ball.

Yeah, Hugh Laurie is astonishing as House..it's so funny for me because I remember watching his comedy team on PBS when I was in high school (part of the "British Humor is so much funnier than American humor" thing). To think the Hugh Laurie would grow up to be House is just amazing.

I believe Fringe starts this week! Yay! I have to wait until October for Pushing Daisy's though...

yeah, House is kinda a hero for me... I like the witty humor (works great with teachers) and pissing people off isn't always bad, but in the long run it doesn't get you far. I must say House has great writing behind him too, and he was on Jay Leno one time and really explained how he approached the part. He also talked about the American accent he uses, and how he sometimes lapses into it even when he's with family.

Stephen Frye, the other half of Frye and Laurie, does the readings for the UK versions of the Harry Potter books on CD (there's no abreviated version....you buy the 5 discs or you don't get the book!) It's just so weird to me that these two who were a comedy team in my youth are now such accomplished (and RICH!) performers.
